Happy to be back !!!

Hello Friends,

It has been ages since we last posted on this blog. The idea behind this blog was to primarily help law students prepare for the UPSC exam, since there was very little guidance available for the law graduates. It gives us immense happiness and some sense of satisfaction when many of the successful candidates who took law as their optional, give us some credit for their success. All three of us are in the 9th year of our service now. I am afraid that we have very little to offer in terms of advice for the civil service preparation now since lots of changes have taken place in the last few years and we have been away from the UPSC world for very long now :)

I am back to being a full time student again 12 years after I left NLS, Bangalore. I am currently on study leave and doing my LL.M. at Harvard Law School as a Fulbright fellow. It’s nice to be back in the class room with some of the best and the brightest of the world. While sitting at HLS and working  on my LL.M paper, I thought may be we should occasionally write on this forum again about our experiences and journey in the government so far. Personally for me, it has been an incredible and extremely satisfying journey. I have loved every moment of my work and feel grateful to have gotten this opportunity to be in public service and do my little bit for our great country. I will try and occasionally write here on my experiences so far in the government and also at the Harvard . Will ask Tanvi and Cyril also to share their experiences.

Will request others who have gotten into the service recently with law as an optional to write may be updated posts on their preparation strategy. Please feel free to get in touch so that we can either add you as a member here or post on your behalf for the benefit of others.

Good luck and stay blessed.

Best,
Salil
